Finally it's happening! Sweden doesn't have a World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR), something that we in Naturistpartiet have been trying to get, and we don't have any naked races, like in Finland, for example. Until now! This Saturday, June 27th, the second "Wikegårds Nakenlopp" will take place. The race premiered last year and seems to have been very popular. The participants, regardless of shape, size or age, participate without clothes – "not to provoke, but to celebrate the naturalness and equal value of the body", as they call it. You can walk, jog, jog or run as you please. They "meet as people, free from external attributes, and share a common experience of nature and community", as they also write on their website. The organizers behind this are Wikegårds Camping on northern Öland and "in a time when many feel pressure to live up to unrealistic ideals, we want to create an event where the body is not judged but appreciated for everything it can actually do", as they describe it, "to leave the demands of everyday life behind for a while, feel the sun, the wind and the ground under your feet and experience the freedom of moving through the Öland landscape together with others in a warm, respectful and prestige-free community". Wikegårds was also the first campsite in Sweden to raise the rainbow flag in 2013, to show that they stand for the equal value of all people, for diversity, respect and tolerance, no matter where you come from or who you are.
