Eddie Taylor (Benoit, January 29, 1923 – Chicago, December 25, 1985) was an American blues guitarist and singer. Eddie Taylor taught himself to play the guitar as a child. Memphis Minnie, who was a former classmate of his mother and occasionally babysat for her friend, introduced young Eddie to the guitar for the first time. He initially played on a self-built instrument until his mother ordered a guitar from Sears & Roebuck for twelve dollars in 1936. https://hvdommelen.nl/blues/TaylorE.html (translated)
