Igår gick jag förbi Stora torget i Falun och såg att det samlats ca 10-15 personer utanför Centerns valstuga. Det var tydligen deras partiledare som kom på besök så jag stannade till för att lyssna lite. Den här Tandvåld som jag felaktigt kallat Elisabeth Tand Ringkvist kom dit, hade ett par säpovakter och tillsammans med SVT, TV4 och Falukuriren samlade en "folkmassa" på ca 15 personer. Direkt efter hon kom dit så började intervjuerna från media, hon tog sig inte ens tid att först hälsa på valarbetarna, allt var regisserat och det enda hon lade tid på var just pressen. Jag såg hur hon tillslut gick fram till en av representanterna vid valstugan men det visade sig bara vara för ett foto som Falu-Kuriren bett om.(bilden) Allt kändes så fejkat och opersonligt, samtidigt så vräker hon ur sig att Centern kommer att fortsätta växa på landsbygden! De har tappat i stort sett alla väljare här i Dalarna redan, endast några lattedrickande opålästa fotbollsmorsor och närmast sörjande pensionärer är kvar. Att de valde att lämna högersidan för att potentiellt samarbeta med socialister, gröna extremister och kommunister var spiken i kistan för detta numer helt onödiga parti. Jag fortsätter att anse att Centern har övergivit sina tidigare kärnväljare inom lantbruk och skogsnäring. Företagarna har bättre alternativ nu och allt detta lajvande från partiledarna om att de minsann är "arbetare"(Demirok, Thand, Annie, Baudin etc.) med rutiga skjortor lämnar en fadd smak i munnen efter man sett skådespelet. Tilläggas kan att hon var där i 20 min, 19 av dem var intervjuer med media. Ikväll Torsdag så blir det Jimmie Åkesson som kommer till Falun, vi får se om det blir mer folksamling och drag då. #Falun #Centern #politik

Empathy, Compassion, and the Limits of Emotional Moral Judgment Empathy is widely regarded as a foundation of morality, but psychological research suggests that it is not an unqualified virtue. Paul Bloom (2017) argues that affective empathy—the experience of sharing another person’s feelings—has important limitations when used as a guide for moral judgment. First, empathy is biased. We respond more strongly to suffering that is vivid, identifiable, and psychologically close. Research on the “identifiable victim effect” shows that people can be more willing to help a specific individual than anonymous victims, even when the latter represent a much larger number (Kogut & Ritov, 2005; Lee & Feeley, 2016). Emotional salience therefore does not necessarily correspond to moral significance. Second, empathy is innumerate. Human emotional responses do not naturally scale with the number of people suffering. A single identifiable victim can evoke a powerful response, while thousands or millions of anonymous victims may produce comparatively little emotional engagement. This creates a problem when moral decisions concern suffering on a large scale (Bloom, 2017). Third, empathy can be exhausting. Repeatedly sharing the distress of others may produce empathic distress and emotional fatigue. Research suggests an important distinction between empathic resonance and compassion: while empathic engagement can increase negative affect, compassion can promote positive affect, motivation, and prosocial behaviour (Klimecki et al., 2014; Weng et al., 2013). The implication is not that we should care less. Rather, caring and feeling are not the same thing. Compassion allows us to recognize suffering and remain motivated to alleviate it without necessarily absorbing the suffering ourselves. Empathy may therefore be valuable for human connection, but it is a poor stand-alone system for making large-scale moral decisions. When millions of lives, limited resources, and competing needs are involved, compassion must be combined with reason, evidence, and deliberate judgment. The goal should not be to feel everything others feel. It should be to care deeply enough to help, while remaining clear-headed enough to help effectively. La présidentielle se déroulera aussi dans un paysage médiatique où aucune grande chaîne d’information n’incarne la gauche de rupture, tandis qu’une la quasi totalité des grands #médias privés appartient à des #milliardaires dont les orientations économiques sont éloignées du programme insoumis. Sur les chaînes en continu, le spectre va globalement du centre gauche à l’extrême droite. #Franceinfo reste la plus à gauche, mais demeure très éloignée de la gauche de rupture et participe elle aussi à un paysage médiatique dont le centre de gravité s’est déplacé vers la droite. #BFMTV, historiquement plutôt centriste et longtemps très compatible avec le macronisme, s’oriente elle aussi vers l’extrême droite, notamment pour capter une partie du public de CNews, comme l’illustre le recrutement de Sonia Mabrouk, ancienne figure de CNews et d’Europe 1. #LCI, chaîne du groupe TF1 contrôlé par Bouygues, s’inscrit davantage dans une tradition de droite libérale traditionnelle, tandis que #CNews ferme le spectre avec une ligne largement ancrée à l’extrême droite. L’asymétrie est d’autant plus notable que Jean-Luc #Mélenchon reste crédité de scores à 2 chiffres pour 2027. Parmi les forces politiques installées à ce niveau, LFI est la seule à ne disposer d’aucun grand canal d’information continue proche de ses orientations économiques, sociales et politiques. Dans la #presse écrite, plusieurs titres entretiennent depuis des années une hostilité marquée envers LFI et Jean-Luc Mélenchon en faisant un positionnement éditorial assumé, notamment Le Point, Marianne, Franc-Tireur ou encore Le JDD. À cela s’ajoute le groupe #Bolloré, d’une tout autre ampleur. Son influence s’étend à la télévision, la radio et la presse avec CNews, Europe 1, Le JDD, JDNews ou Prisma Media, mais aussi à l’édition à travers Hachette, qui regroupe notamment Fayard, Grasset, JC Lattès, Stock, Calmann-Lévy ou Le Livre de Poche. Un écosystème puissant qui a fait de Jordan #Bardella un millionnaire où les mêmes thèmes, figures et batailles culturelles circulent d’un support à l’autre. Pour LFI, cet ensemble constitue aujourd’hui le pôle médiatique le plus puissamment et durablement opposé à sa ligne politique. Le rapport de forces tient aussi à la manière dont l’information est traitée : cadrages biaisés, #intox, déformations, débats orientés, plateaux déséquilibrés ou intérêts d’invités insuffisamment explicités. L’hostilité affichée de certains intervieweurs envers LFI peut même rendre ces séquences contre-productives pour les médias eux-mêmes, lorsque l’entretien ressemble davantage à un affrontement #militant qu’à une interview journalistique. LFI semble avoir tiré les leçons de cette expérience. Considérant que les dés sont trop souvent pipés sur certains plateaux traditionnels, le mouvement investit davantage les nouveaux médias numériques, les créateurs de contenus et ses propres canaux : YouTube, Twitch, TikTok ou formats longs. La chaîne YouTube de Jean-Luc Mélenchon a ainsi publié un 1er épisode de près d’1h30 consacré aux coulisses du début de la campagne, produit par le mouvement lui-même. À moins de 8 mois du 1er tour, la dynamique actuelle de Jean-Luc Mélenchon promet d’ailleurs de placer cette confrontation médiatique au 1er plan. Crédité jusqu’à 17% des intentions de vote à cette heure et en situation, dans certaines configurations, de disputer directement l’accès au second tour, le candidat insoumis devrait devenir un enjeu majeur pour les chefferies éditoriales des grands médias détenus par des milliardaires, dont beaucoup sont paniquées par son programme. À l’approche de 2027, LFI devra donc composer avec un double rapport de forces : celui de l’affrontement avec ses adversaires et celui d’un environnement médiatique largement défavorable à ses choix politiques.
