Tear Off reported, citing SkySportsF1, that Max Verstappen criticized Liam Lawson to the press after their incident during free practice 2 in Mexico. Verstappen believed that Lawson should have acted more intelligently and that such behavior was unwise while he was fighting to secure a seat. #F1 #Verstappen #MexicoGP (translated)

Profile of Karol Nawrocki - he wrote that Poles were coming to gas stations with fuel vouchers, hoping for the promised price of 5.19, but the cashier was said to tell them they had been misled. Federico Albano described the second free practice session of the BahrainGP in Sepang as difficult to interpret. According to him, the teams quickly focused their work on long runs due to the risk of rain and because, considering the overtaking chances and tire degradation, race pace would be more important than qualifying. Albano judged Ferrari's Friday as positive: compared to the first session, the setup had improved and the team showed encouraging signs in managing degradation. However, he noted difficulties at the rear end. In his opinion, Leclerc managed to handle them well and achieved good feedback both in dry running and in the race simulation, while Hamilton struggled more with temperature control. The author wrote that Red Bull appeared competitive in dry running with Hadjar and in race pace with Verstappen, but faced difficulties in slow corners. Mercedes, despite not completing a dry lap with both drivers, highlighted a race pace on par or slightly lower than that of Verstappen and Leclerc. Albano therefore expected a close fight between at least these three teams. According to his report, McLaren fell behind in dry running but showed good race pace and effective tire durability management. Albano concluded that setups and conditions remained to be evaluated, with looming rain and a race that, in his opinion, could change with each stint. #F1 #BahrainGP #Motorsport (translated)

Nachez wrote that Fernando Alonso believed tire degradation would be key during the weekend. According to Nachez, the driver said the team needed to check if any adjustments better cared for the tires and that they needed more grip and power. He also noted that Alonso made a criticism of the interviews following FP2. https://t.co/cpxcdmLRKI #F1 #FernandoAlonso #Neumáticos (translated)

#FP1 at #Sepang: - #RedBull started very well, somewhat surprisingly given the layout of the track. Great balance both on the dry lap and in long runs, the latest upgrades seem to have brought benefits, let's see if they can keep up because they started strong. - #Mercedes has issues with Kimi, and still seems conservative with #Russell on the PU side. Russell has a lot of traction but little top speed, it's worth understanding if it's just power or if there's also drag due to increased downforce. Bad long run for Mercedes with very high wear. - #Ferrari seems out of the window, more loaded than the others, convincing only in braking and in slow corners. Better in the long run, the mechanics seem to be there, the aerodynamics for now really need fixing. - #McLaren insubstantial in the dry lap but remarkably excellent on tire degradation in long runs. - To say the track is evolving doesn't capture the essence, temperatures are sky-high, old asphalt, abrasive, and very dirty. We'll see everyone improve by several seconds per lap, so this session is more about returning to a beautiful track and understanding starting points than deducing anything about final results that are still very far off. Let's see FP2. #Formula1 #Motorsport #GP (translated)

It's not looking bad, but it's very early. And yes, Alonso's P14 is "real". He set his time at the same time as the rest. He has margin in S1 and S2. He himself said on the radio that the best lap was the first one they did. Possible rain in FP2. https://t.co/odRyCjQN15 #F1 #FernandoAlonso #Entrenamientos (translated)

E i piloti: eccezionali Lando (senza FP2) e Kimi.

#SpanishGP #Madring #Formula1 #Ferrari #Mercedes
