We will see each other tomorrow - Shmoo expressed sympathy for ordinary Americans, accusing President Donald Trump of being disconnected from their problems. According to the author, 3 million people lost health insurance, tariffs increased annual family spending in stores by up to 1700 USD, fueling costs an additional 750 USD, and daycare fees rose by 850 USD. He added that factories lost 100,000 jobs, and the benefits of economic policy were enjoyed by the richest 1 percent, while the rest of society grew poorer. As a contrast, he pointed to displays of a "flying car." The author assessed that Trump's decisions over the past year were dangerous for Poland and Europe. He mentioned the exclusion of Russia from sanctions and the preparation of a peace plan without EU involvement, the withdrawal of some troops from Germany, plans to reduce 25,000–40,000 soldiers in Europe, and the chaos surrounding troop rotations in Poland. In his opinion, these actions weakened the credibility of NATO Article 5. Among other accusations, he listed tariffs on eight countries in the dispute over Greenland, the threat of 100 percent tariffs in response to the digital tax, and the use of the dispute between the government and the president in Warsaw to undermine EU unity. Shmoo wrote that the slogans of PiS and Confederation politicians about a "revolution of common sense" have aged poorly. He also criticized Karol Nawrocki for his uncritical support for Trump. #Polska #USA #Polityka (translated)
