He also tracked a pheasant in the bushes, but the bird ran away and did not want to play with him. Marko wrote that he rested a lot because after taking the pill for “unseeing,” he felt worse. Nevertheless, he played with Andrzej on the grass and later allowed himself to be petted. He also mentioned that new teeth were coming in and his gums were itchy, so he secretly chewed on cardboard. He described how he climbed onto the table to remove cheese from Andrzej's bread, which he called “elmeltarer,” and lick off the butter. He also played with Misią and Szarlotką, and as he put it, looked after Savana so she wouldn't eat too much pâté, helping her with her bowl. In the end, he admitted that he felt guilty because he neglected his grandmother's room.
