jacekzarzecki 14h

Jacek Zarzecki wrote that the Provincial Veterinary Inspectorate issued health certificates for 21 animals taken from the Łączna Zoo to the Netherlands, including a tiger. According to him, the certificates were not issued by the county veterinarian supervising the zoo, who publicly stated that he saw no grounds for taking the animals, and was subsequently removed from the proceedings. Zarzecki pointed out that the police were supposed to designate a final destination for the animals, namely a private zoo. He asked on what legal basis the inspectorate took over the duties of the county veterinarian and from which account the certificates were issued. He also expressed doubts about whether each animal was examined before loading and whether its medical documentation, which — he wrote — was taken over by the prosecutor, was checked, and whether the tiger had a valid rabies vaccination. Zarzecki emphasized that the health certificate is an official document on which the credibility of Polish exports of animals and meat is based. He stated that any possible bending of procedures in this matter could undermine trust in the documents and procedures, and if EU institutions got involved, Poland would have to explain itself. #Zwierzęta #Weterynaria #Prawo (translated)

Marcin Żuk 1d

Marcin Żuk assessed that Legia played a solid match, which they could have won or lost, especially since, in his opinion, Cracovia defended well. He added that he had not watched any of Cracovia's matches this season before, but he presumed that their performance against Legia was the best. Żuk wrote that the team should move forward and that the team with Chodyna and Reca on the flanks was not expected to win the Polish championship. He reminded that Legia recently won there with Mladen and Juranovic on the wings, who, as he stated, presented a different level than their current successors. #Legia #Cracovia #Ekstraklasa (translated)

Mateusz Morawiecki wrote that "Concrete 58" — concerning modern marketplaces throughout Poland — has not been fulfilled. He assessed that Donald Tusk promised to deliver specifics, but instead, further declarations emerged. He added that his camp focused on development, not words. #NaprzodPolsko https://t.co/2ONNYYpHk2 #Polska #Rozwój #Obietnice (translated)

Lemingopedia 5d

Lemingopedia wrote that Maciej Berek was supposed to take an oath as a judge of the Constitutional Tribunal in the Sejm at 9 AM and then go to the Constitutional Tribunal. The author criticized this intention, referring to the opinion of the Venice Commission regarding the oath of judges. According to him, the Commission allowed the possibility of taking the oath without the physical presence of the president, although it admitted that this solution deviates from the literal wording of the regulations. Lemingopedia concluded that justifying this by “exceptional circumstances” threatens Polish statehood. The author also questioned the independence of the Venice Commission, pointing to the involvement of Professor Sadurski and Magda Fitas-Czuchnowska, whom he described as the wife of Czuchnowski. He also recalled a statement by Roman Kuźniar on public television, where he— as the author wrote— made an offensive comparison regarding President Nawrocki. He mentioned that Sadurski had encouraged minister Żurek in “Gazeta Wyborcza” to act bypassing ordinary procedures. Lemingopedia claimed that Polish law requires taking the oath before the president, and the president questioned the way part of the procedure was conducted. It also noted that on April 27, the president initiated a jurisdictional dispute before the Constitutional Tribunal and that— according to the law, as the author put it— the initiation of such proceedings suspends proceedings before the bodies conducting the dispute. The author emphasized that the Venice Commission is not a European court nor an authority that can change Polish law, and he referred to the document from October 13 as an opinion and a set of recommendations. He warned that those participating in the described actions would face imprisonment, and at the end, he ironically proposed the establishment of a Warsaw branch of the Venice Commission that would issue different rulings. He also encouraged readers to make contributions for coffee. https://t.co/8NPL5yAO8g #TrybunałKonstytucyjny #Polska #Prawo (translated)

John Bingham 5d

John Bingham accused Donald Tusk of lying and wrote that it was nothing new. He referred to a statement according to which the opinions of the Venice Commission were respected by everyone except President Karol Nawrocki. Bingham announced that he would present specific examples of opinions that other countries did not respect and still do not respect in his thread. https://t.co/MW0WM7eJlt #Polska #Polityka #DonaldTusk (translated)

Szymon Janus 5d

Szymon Janus criticized the proposal to raise the CIT from 19% to 22%. He claimed that instead of effectively enforcing taxes on foreign corporations, the government would burden a few large Polish companies that pay high taxes, limiting their ability to compete with Western enterprises. He pointed out that the official justification for the proposal mentioned aligning international corporations with the European level and protecting small and medium-sized Polish companies. Janus found these objectives paradoxical because, as he assessed, the effects of the changes would be primarily felt by Polish enterprises. He reminded that he had repeatedly pointed out the lack of capital in Polish companies and the benefits foreign corporations derived, in his opinion, from years of exploiting Poles and poorly conducted privatization. Janus suggested that the proposal could be used to attack President Nawrocki with the accusation of neglecting the budget and protecting big business. Among the Polish companies he categorized this way, he mentioned InPost, LPP, Adamed, Oshee, and Maspex, contrasting them with DPD, DHL, Aldi, and Orange. He added that Orlen and PKOBP/Pekao officially announced the end of investments and foreign expansion. Although he supported a uniform levy and fair taxation, Janus advocated for increasing tax pressure on foreign companies first. He claimed that the increase would bring billions of zlotys from Polish enterprises, and almost nothing from foreign ones, which — as he wrote — did not pay taxes. #CIT #podatki #polskiefirmy (translated)

Max Hübner 6d

Max Hübner assessed that Karol Nawrocki's move against Donald Tusk, related to the signing of the fuel law, proved to be beneficial for the president. He recalled a statement in which its author said that drivers would be able to buy fuel at 5.19 and thanked the prime minister for the help. Hübner wrote that not even two weeks had passed, and in his opinion, Nawrocki emerged victorious from the clash. He added that some commentators predicted that the president would lose out on this, but he himself was right again. #Polityka #Paliwo #Satyra (translated)

The President of the Republic of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, said in Stargard that he would not agree to let Poles be "hostages" of the political dispute and pay high fuel prices. He compared this situation to the end of last year, when — as he stated — the parliamentary and governmental majority took patients hostage. The peak of hypocrisy, Mr. Minister @w_zurek? ✅️So let's go. ✅️You have been the Attorney General since July 24, 2025. ✅️It just so happens that on the very same day, a request from the defender of Michał Kuczmierowski for the issuance of a LETTER OF IRON arrived at the District Court in Warsaw. ✅️On September 10, 2025, the District Court denied the request (case no. XII 1 Kp 2497/25). ✅️Do you know who made such a ruling? It was Judge KONRAD MIELCAREK, who is today being publicly scorned by Minister Żurek for a different decision regarding MP Romanowski. ✅️You did not file a request to exclude Judge Mielcarek from participating in the case. And you were already the head of the Prosecutor's Office then. ✅️Please tell me why? You were very pleased with the decision made. ✅️However, after the defense's appeal was filed, you submitted THREE requests to exclude THREE judges who were to review the appeal. Each time successfully. ✅️Until a judge was drawn who obviously suited you, because you did not request to exclude him. And the refusal was maintained in force. ✅️So please do not speak of hypocrisy. ✅️As a lawyer, I have a duty to maintain moderation and restraint in formulating my statements, but believe me, sometimes it is really difficult for me. #hipokryzja #prawo #sprawiedliwość (translated)

Nie trzeba kłamać 🧵 Mam 45 lat i pamiętam jeszcze czasy, kiedy informacja miała wagę. Nie dlatego, że media zawsze mówiły prawdę. Nie mówiły. Manipulowały, przemilczały, miały swoje sympatie i popełniały błędy. Miała język, styl, ironię i ogromną pamięć polityczną. Czasem komentarz. Jedziemy dalej. Kahneman opisywał dwa sposoby naszego myślenia. Jeden szybki, automatyczny, działający niemal bez wysiłku. Drugi wolniejszy, wymagający uwagi i pracy.

#Polska #Polityka #Wybory
