Henri Vanhanen wrote that Helsingin Sanomat had received nearly 800,000 Finnish individuals' location data for free from international data brokers. According to him, the data could be used to identify soldiers, members of parliament, and critical infrastructure workers, as well as to uncover their homes and movement patterns. Vanhanen assessed that the availability of location data could pose a serious vulnerability to Finland's national security and also jeopardize the privacy of ordinary citizens. He wrote that a foreign state's intelligence service might not necessarily need to breach information systems if it could purchase the data. Vanhanen suggested that Finland should begin preparing a Data Shield legislative package concerning the security of location data. He proposed that the commercial resale of precise location histories be prohibited, that the location protection of those working in security-critical tasks be strengthened, and that the responsibilities of authorities be clarified. Furthermore, he argued that Finland should advocate for stricter EU restrictions on the commercial resale of location data of identifiable individuals. https://t.co/iheRSEpv9j #Tietosuoja #KansallinenTurvallisuus #Yksityisyys (translated)

Petteri Tarkkonen wrote that the National Coalition Party had practically functioned as a right-wing party for decades while the Finns Party focused on immigration. According to him, under Riikka Purra's leadership, the Finns Party had become the leading economic party, making it a more acceptable alternative for traditional National Coalition voters. Tarkkonen assessed that the Finns Party also did not have the traditional burdens like political appointments or Yle that the National Coalition Party faced. Tarkkonen claimed that the media had sought to present the Finns Party as merely a racist party and create the impression that voting for the party would make the voter a racist. He believed that the media also aimed to wedge between the National Coalition Party and the Finns Party but assessed that social media, especially X, was rejecting this narrative. He predicted that the 2027 elections would be a turning point in Finnish history. According to Tarkkonen, the National Coalition Party ending up in a left-wing government would lead to a development similar to that of the Centre Party, and cooperation between the National Coalition Party and the left would remain a matter of distributive politics. He also estimated that the legacy of a red-green government would be similar to that of Sanna Marin's government. Tarkkonen appealed to the National Coalition Party and Petteri Orpo to abandon the best-hope politics he described and not to turn the party into an economic-democratic entity. According to him, the traditional National Coalition voter would not vote for the Social Democrats. #Politiikka #Kokoomus #Persut (translated)

The author claimed that the concept of Islamophobia was widely used, but Christianophobia was poorly known, even though it was, according to him, a serious phenomenon in Europe.
