Je suis particulièrement satisfait du passage à 48 équipes. L'expansion à 48 équipes a montré que donner à plus de pays la chance de rivaliser ne fait que renforcer la Coupe du monde de la FIFA. De nouvelles nations ont inspiré des millions de personnes, des histoires inoubliables ont capturé les cœurs à travers le monde et le football a prouvé une fois de plus qu'il est une langue universelle.

Amnesty International har mistet sin relevans og blevet woke-joke. I 1998 skrev jeg et kapitel i bogen "Flammer for frihed", hvor jeg roste Amnesty International for at kæmpe imod dødsstraf og for at støtte samvittighedsfanger, der ikke advokerede for politisk vold. Fx afviste Amnesty International i slut 1960erne at erklære den fængslede Nelson Mandela som en samvittighedsfange i Sydafrika, fordi han advokerede for voldelig opstand. Amnesty International blev grundlagt af den britiske advokat Peter Benenson, der i begyndelsen af 1960erne læste en artikel om to studenter i det dengang fascistiske Portugal. De 2 studenter fik en fængselsdom på 7 år, fordi de på en offentlig plads skålede for friheden. Det blev den britiske advokat så rystet over, at han skrev et åbent brev til forsiden af The Observer, hvor han opfordrede læserne til at støtte disse "samvittighedsfanger". Den massive opbakning førte til stiftelsen af Amnesty International. Organisationen opnåede hurtigt bred international anerkendelse og respekt. MEN meget har ændret sig de senere år - desværre. Der er nærmest sket en "fjendtlig overtagelse" af organisationen - af den yderste venstrefløj og woke-ekstremisme. Amnesty International er blevet en blandt mange andre venstrefløjs-politiske NGO'er. Kampen mod dødstraf, tortur, politiske- og samvittighedsfanger fylder mindre og mindre, mens venstrefløjens mærkesager fylder mere og mere. "Det virker, som om Amnestys ledelse er gået moralsk konkurs," skrev den britiske forfatter Salman Rushdie, da organisationen for nogle år siden allierede sig med nogle ex-Guantanamo-fanger, der solidariserede sig med talibanerne i Afghanistan. I en ny rapport stemplede Amnesty International støttecentret for "anti-rettighedsaktør", fordi centret ikke tilbyder hjælp til transkønnede. Det har givet bagslag og mødt massiv kritik i Storbritannien, at Amnesty International har måttet trække rapporten tilbage. Det er ikke første gang Amnesty International rammer ved siden af skiven. Αν ήθελα να δώσω έναν τίτλο στην #Οδύσσεια του Νόλαν θα ήταν "Η Άλωση της Ιθάκης"... Φανταστείτε έναν αρχαίο, εύφορο και ιερό κήπο. Για χιλιάδες χρόνια, οι άνθρωποι τον φρόντιζαν, έπιναν από το καθαρό νερό των πηγών του και έτρεφαν το πνεύμα τους με τους καρπούς του. Αυτός ο κήπος είναι η Οδύσσεια του Ομήρου. Ένας τόπος γεμάτος μέτρο, βαθιά φιλοσοφία, νόστο και την αυθεντική ψυχή του ελληνικού πολιτισμού. Ξαφνικά, στα σύνορα του κήπου εμφανίζεται ένας ξένος, πανίσχυρος κατακτητής. Έρχεται από μια μακρινή, λαμπερή αλλά πνευματικά στείρα αυτοκρατορία: το Χόλιγουντ. Αρχηγός του είναι ένας ικανός αλλά αλαζόνας στρατηγός, ο Κρίστοφερ Νόλαν. Ο ξένος αυτός πολιτισμός δεν ενδιαφέρεται να καταλάβει τη σοφία του κήπου. Θέλει απλώς να τον καταστήσει αποικία του και να τον φέρει στα δικά του, σύγχρονα μέτρα.Ο στρατηγός μπαίνει μέσα και αρχίζει το "έργο" του, παραμορφώνοντας τις πιο εμβληματικές μορφές του τόπου για να εξυπηρετήσει τη δική του ατζέντα.
