I made some thoughts tonight about the new possible "Habeck/Wissing & co." party. Theoretically speaking, I see it this way: Such a "Habeck/Wissing party" + a prominent CDU politician should, according to Robin Alexander, possibly also be included, would have a historical precedent: Macron's "La République en Marche" from France. The electoral potential is the Merkel supporters of the CDU, the realos of the Greens, the left-liberal wing of the FDP, and the Seeheimers of the SPD. - This would create a huge gap on the "right-liberal conservative" side, thereby providing a great opportunity, for example, for TeamFreiheit as a counterweight. (I mention TeamFreiheit here because they are currently politically positioned there - it could also be something completely new) Such a leak would not be repairable for the old cumbersome tanker CDU anymore. By the time they have licked their wounds and actually realize what is happening, the thing is done. Parties with political "old burdens" like the CDU or FDP would be busy justifying their past mistakes, while other, new parties could play freely. The FDP would likely disappear. The CDU would at best retain its 65+ clientele, similar to other Christian Democratic parties in Europe. The left wing of the Greens would probably have to join with the rest of the SPD to pass the 5% threshold and to be able to represent a counterweight on the left side to the left radical edge of DIE LINKE. On the center-right side, one would need to politically push precisely into the gap that suddenly yawned: economically liberal, with a socially conservative compass, pro-Europe (unlike pro-EU bureaucratic regulatory overhead) + pro-NATO Western alliance. Making an attractive political offer to the former right-liberal voters of the FDP, the conservative/liberal voters of the CDU, while simultaneously attacking the AfD on the flank, where many of its voters actually do not want to go along with its content but tolerate it due to a lack of alternatives, e.g., on the "Russian nonsense," or also on certain socialist approaches in economic policy, right up to the excesses at the far right. General connectability must exist for such a party both to the new "Habeck-Co party" and to the AfD. Especially with the part that wants to participate in governance and also understands that political compromises are necessary for that. Even Meloni in Italy was only able to create a "right-conservative" majority because there are at least 2-3 "right" parties there. The AfD certainly cannot do it alone. Especially not if the "people's party" model dissolves into thin air due to such a maneuver by Habeck & Co. from the center. That would be a general trend that one would have to politically leverage in a "restructuring." One would have to position oneself both in terms of personnel and content, for example, broader at TeamFreiheit than before, but I would see that as a great opportunity. If the old party system is shaken up by such a new "Habeck party" from the center, then the cards will be reshuffled in a completely different way. The right-liberal-conservative flank would be wide open. It would make a big difference whether an old, crusty party system is broken open from the political center or from its political edges. This creates completely different opportunities for the political landscape. The AfD would also have to very quickly politically show its colors in many areas because it would no longer represent the only "alternative" to the existing party system that could mobilize the "dissatisfied," "protesters," and "non-voters." A new political force suddenly gets a chance where many voters find the AfD's positions too radical, but vote for them for various reasons because there is no real political alternative, and voting for "old parties" is no longer an option for them. I would personally welcome such a new "Habeck & Co." party because it would break and renew the old party system from the center, even though it would not be my party politically. A politically new force like the one I described as a right-liberal conservative counterweight, I would not only vote for but would even actively engage. A political renewal is urgently needed in Germany for many reasons. A large part of the population no longer trusts that either the Union, the SPD, or even the Greens in their current form are capable of doing so. - They are politically burned out, and each additional election makes that clearer every time. Whether one feels politically better represented by a left-green-liberal or a right-conservatively liberal new political force, we should not leave this renewal to the political edges. Wherever something dies, there is also room for something new. This creates the courage for change and a spirit of departure, which is currently lacking in many political areas and in the people's reality in Germany. The survival of the CDU, SPD, FDP, and Greens as political forces is not enshrined in the Basic Law. - So, let’s go! (translated)
