The author criticized that ZDF reported for 15 minutes on the resignation of a minister, while a KfW study on the costs of the energy transition was only mentioned in a 37-second news block. He described the minister as incompetent. According to the study he cited, the energy transition is expected to cost six trillion euros by climate neutrality in 2045, which is 290 billion euros annually. The study mentions potential benefits such as reduced dependencies and savings. The author countered that, according to calculations by the Fraunhofer IEE, foreign dependence would still amount to 50 percent in the final expansion. He compared the annual costs of 290 billion euros to half of the federal budget, payments to more than 16 million pensioners, and the construction of one million apartments per year. In addition, he wrote that the study assumes the energy transition would succeed without deindustrialization and with a largely unchanged economic structure, including a steel industry that produces large quantities of green steel. #Energiewende #Klimaneutralität #Bundeshaushalt (translated)

The debate on the matter is too exhausting for many. The SPD politician and former state minister Michael Roth strikes a thoughtful and critical note on the news service X: "The debate on the matter is too exhausting for many. However, we must and can criticize politicians, including Bärbel Bas. But please, based on the issue. A politician can also fall ill, grieve, take time, but should not face mockery and hate. Do you really want that in the end, only the cynical and thick-skinned remain? Those who need the steel storm on X and in talk shows like the air they breathe? I have my doubts that this will make politics better." #BärbelBas #Rücktritt #SPD (translated)

Jan Betlach wrote that the video with six-year-old Romi deeply affected him every time. According to his description, Hamas murdered her parents Odaya and Doleva Suiss. Her father was shot while fleeing and died the same day in the hospital; her mother was shot in the car along with Amer Abu Sabil, who was trying to take them to safety. Betlach stated that Romi pulled her three-year-old sister Liu down to the floor of the car, covered her with a blanket and her own body, so the gunmen would not notice them. When other men approached them later, she begged them not to kill her or her sister. After hearing Hebrew, according to Betlach, she asked if they were police officers from Israel. When they confirmed, she asked them to take them with them. Both girls were rescued. Betlach added that Romi's broken voice echoed in his ears. https://t.co/BabRTI0qCr #Romi #Zachrana #Humanita (translated)
