(TR) The excise duty on beer in Poland is among the highest in Europe, but the subsequent increases do not yield proportionately higher revenues. Sales are declining, and the industry warns of the risk of brewery closures and job losses in related sectors.
(TR) The excise duty on all vaporization devices, including e-cigarettes, is set to increase by 10 PLN to a level of 50 PLN - according to a draft from the Ministry of Finance. Furthermore, the excise duty on e-cigarette liquid is expected to rise to 2.20 PLN per milliliter from 0.96 PLN.
(TR) The Ministry of Finance has prepared a draft to increase the excise tax on e-cigarettes and vaping devices. The ministry wants to raise both the tax rate on equipment and on liquids for electronic cigarettes, arguing this is necessary to limit the availability of these products.
